BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe set to launch in late 2013

While there were mere rumours that BMW is developing a 4-Series Gran Coupe, it appears now that the rumour may have turned to fruition with new details emerging on the said model.

News around the web is, the new model will be a four-door coupe that will slot in between the current 3 and 5 Series. It will follow the same basic formula as the 6-Series Gran Coupe, so expect it to be based off the 4-Series coupe but have a longer-wheelbase and two rear doors.

Engine options will likely be inherited from the standard model which means we will expect a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 181bhp and 241bhp as well as a 3.0-litre inline-six with 315bhp.

If the reports checks out, the model will be launched late next year.
