BMW 6-Series Coupe Concept showcases the future of BMW's luxury coupe

The 6-Series Coupe Concept will be officially unveiled at the Paris Motor Show later this month, and the car is essentially a two-door version of BMW's Gran Coupe Concept that was previewed at the Beijing Motor Show in April.

BMW says that the 6-Series Coupe Concept is a "stylish and authentic expression of superior sports performance," and features styling elements such as LED headlights, a massive twin-kidney grille, a four-tailpipe exhaust system, and 20-inch aluminium wheels.

The interior is luxuriously decked out, with two-tone leather upholstery, wood trim, and gloss black accents. There is also a 10.2-inch iDrive display, a digital instrument cluster, and a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system.

BMW has not revealed any details with regards to the performance of the new 6-Series, but it is expected to be similar to the 5-Series on which it is based. A 4.4-litre V8 engine that produces 395bhp and 609Nm of torque are among the engines to be offered, while an M6 variant with a 600bhp twin-turbocharged V8 will come along around 2012.
