BMW Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo Long Wheel Base launched at Tokyo Motor Show

The B7 Bi-Turbo is powered by a 4.4 litre V8 that produces 507bhp and 700Nm of torque. The long wheelbase version is expected to hit 0-100km/h slightly slower than the 4.7 seconds posted by the standard car. The power is generated with the help of two large turbochargers mounted to the intercooler, and the engine is mated to a ZF six-speed automatic transmission.

The long wheelbase version of the BMW Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo joins the D3 Bi-Turbo, which is the first clean performance diesel-powered car to be sold in the Japanese market, at Alpina's stand at the Tokyo Motor Show.

Alpina also announced that its 3000th car ever produced will be delivered to Tokyo, with over 300 Alpina models having been exported to Japan to date, since delivery started almost exactly thirty years ago.
