BMW i3 tops in Automotive Interiors Expo Award 2014

The BMW i3 has won yet another accolade - this time round at the Automotive Interiors Expo Award 2014. The panel of judges awarded the all-electric hatchback with the Production Interior Vehicle Design of the Year for its spaciousness, as well as innovative design and use of eco-friendly materials.
For instance, 25 percent (by weight) of the plastic used in the i3 is recycled. The textiles for the seat surfaces are also made entirely out of recycled fibres.
The unprecedented use of Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastics (CFRP) also allows maximum space utilisation in the LifeDrive architecture.
The BMW i3 will be launched in Singapore at the upcoming BMW World event, which will be held at Marina Bay Sands Expo from 1st to 3rd August 2014.
