Head over to the BMW Asia booth at the 2024 Singapore Motor Show and you'll be able to catch the newly launched BMW iX1 and X2!
Kicking things off is the new X2 sDrive 16i M Sport, which arrives here in Singapore powered by a 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine that produces 121bhp and 230Nm of torque, allowing it to be registered with a Cat A COE. Paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, this engine will see the compact Sports Activity Vehicle reaching 100km/h from a standstill in 10.5 seconds.
This new BMW X2 has grown 194mm in length and 21mm in width over its predecessor, allowing it to offer more space for passengers, as well as a total of 560 litres of boot space (20 litres more than the BMW X1).
In the cabin, the X2 sDrive 16i M Sport will come with sport seats at the front row, and all seats come upholstered in Veganza vegan leather. The car also comes with a 10.25-inch instrument display and 10.7-inch central infotainment touchscreen, alongside a wireless smartphone charging tray. An M leather steering wheel and M anthracite headliner also features in the cabin of this X2.
Also now available from BMW here in Singapore and present at the 2024 Singapore Motor Show is the new all-electric BMW iX1.
Launched here in Singapore is the iX1 eDrive 20 xLine, which also gets a Cat A COE-friendly output of 147bhp while producing a peak torque of 250Nm. And just like the X2 sDrive 16i, this iX1 eDrive 20 will also take 10.5 seconds to reach 100km/h from a standstill.
Inside the iX1, there's also sports seats for the front row, the use of Veganza vegan leather, and the same 10.25-inch instrument display and 10.7-inch central infotainment touchscreen.
The BMW iX1 offers a WLTP range of 474km thanks to its 64.8kWh battery, which can be charged at up to 22kW if you're utilising an alternating current charger. Alternatively, charging via a direct current source will allow the car to hit a peak charging speed of 130kW.
