The BMW X5 presented an all new Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) segment when it was launched in the late nineties. To be honest unlike its sedan offerings like the 3, 5 or 7 Series the X5 isn't really a volume seller (in Singapore at least) - but that has not stopped BMW from pushing the technical and design innovations it could offer the nameplate.
