Borneo Motors rewards Toyota owners with karting challenge

Toyota launched its 'TRD Unleash The Racer in You' competition, which saw contestants pit their racing skills against each other in go-karts.

Each won a paid trip for two to the Sepang International Circuit in April 2015 for a Toyota RC86 driving experience

With three qualifying races leading up to the final showdown, the series of events took place as early as 13^th December 2014 and ended with a bang on 14^th February this year.

It was truly an adrenaline pumping race where the Top 20 fastest karters returned, to out-perform and surpass their opponents to clinch a place on the podium. This series of events is a result of strong, standing partnership between Borneo Motors and Motul, an active player in the motorsports circuit and also the blender of the TRD Sport Oil by Motul range.

The 'TRD Unleash the Racer in You' karting challenge is their latest brainchild to promote motorsports within the Toyota community, and that the everyday Toyota driver can experience the adrenaline rush of a racer through the TRD lineup of engine oil upgrade, bodykit and performance parts.

With an apparent lead of nine seconds ahead of his closest rival, the youngest racer, 22-year old Mr. Lim Zi Jie, emerged as the 1^st place winner in the 'TRD Unleash the Racer in You' karting challenge. Following behind were Mr. Teh Hong Ming and Mr. Alwyn Lee, aged 34 and 29 respectively, with just half a second difference from each other.

Borneo Motors, the authorised distributor of Toyota is renowned for her Customers First philosophy. This is little wonder why one happy customer from the qualifying races, Ms. Jeslyn Zheng, said she "had great fun racing around the track, being (her) first experience” and that she "appreciated the well organised event and care put into (her) well being."
