Bugatti unveils one-off Chiron Super Sport

Bugatti has unveiled a one-off Chiron Super Sport, inspired by the Type 57 SC Atlantic. The car, named the '57 One of One', was made as a commission for a customer who wanted her very own tribute to the iconic Atlantic for her first Bugatti.

The 57 One of One comes in a striking silver-tinted blue hue, chosen to replicate the finish on the Type 57 SC Atlantic that the customer first saw at the Mullin Automotive Museum at Oxnard. Bugatti is said to have revisited the Type 57 SC Atlantic at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao in order to ensure this finish is replicated to perfection.

The special Bugatti Chiron Super Sport also comes with a redesigned grille, featuring polished vertical lines and a thicker centre spine inspired by the upright horseshoe grille of the 57 SC Atlantic.

This touch is paired with five-spoke Super Sport wheels that combine polished chrome with blue – as on the car’s original inspiration. The exterior of the one-off Chiron Super Sport is completed with a hand drawn silhouette of the Atlantic alongside ‘57’ and ‘One of One’ lettering at the underside of its rear wing.

In the cabin, the one-off car is upholstered in Gaucho leather while the Atlantic’s silhouette is hand stitched on the door panels. The car also features the Dancing Elephant sculpture of Rembrandt Bugatti embroidered on its headrests, a touch said to signify the customer’s love for animals.

Bugatti states that this 57 One Of One Chiron Super Sport will eventually take its place at the Concours d' Elegance. However, it will first be taken on a tour along some of the scenic routes of the American West by its owner.
