CCL platform closures at Telok Blangah and HarbourFront
16 Jan 2024|619 views
Service adjustments will be made to the Circle Line (CCL) to facilitate track works to integrate Stage 6 of the CCL with the existing rail network. From 20 January to 24 May 2024, one platform each at Telok Blangah and HarbourFront stations will be temporarily closed.
A shuttle train will operate on the other platform between HarbourFront and Labrador Park stations at 10-minute intervals. CCL trains will turn around alternately at Kent Ridge and Labrador Park stations instead.
During the period of service adjustment, commuters travelling between Kent Ridge station and Labrador Park station can expect an average of about five minutes' waiting time during peak hours. Commuters may refer to train announcements and platform display panels for relevant information on the upcoming service adjustment.
Those affected by the single platform closure on the CCL may alternatively make use of the 11 public bus services (10, 30, 57, 61, 93, 97, 100, 143, 166, 188 & 963) available, said LTA.
During weekday peak hours, an Express Shuttle Bus Service (E31) will ply HarbourFront, Telok Blangah, Labrador Park and Kent Ridge stations at 10 to 15-minute intervals. Commuters should note that the Express Shuttle Bus Service operates on weekdays between 6:00am to 10:00am and between 5:00pm to 9:00pm only.
Commuters travelling to or from Haw Par Villa and Pasir Panjang stations can also travel on existing bus services serving the stations from Haw Par Villa to HarbourFront, such as bus services 10, 30, 143 or 188.
Station staff will be deployed at the affected stations to assist commuters during the service adjustment period.
LTA advises commuters to plan their journeys in advance. For more details, commuters may refer to LTA's MyTransport.SG mobile app and LTA's and SMRT's social media platforms.
