Charge+ takes steps towards 5,000km charging highway goal

To achieve its goal of creating a region-first 5,000km EV Charging Highway linking Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam, Charge+ has launched an EV charging hub at Amverton Heritage Resort, located in the Ayer Keroh area in the state of Melaka, Malaysia.

Charge+ states that this location was chosen as it is a popular midway stop between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. The charging hub hosts four DC fast charging (120kW) points and two AC charging points and is located three minutes off the North-South Highway.

In conjunction with the launch, Charge+ also announced a strategic partnership with EV Edaran, a subsidiary of Amverton Group, to develop EV charging infrastructure to Sabah and Sarawak of East Malaysia. Both Charge+ and EV Edaran will also announce detailed plans for a charging network in East Malaysia in the second half of 2025.

This initiative is part of Charge+'s ongoing efforts to support Malaysia's goal of establishing 10,000 EV charging stations across the country by 2025.
