Chery to show 5 gens of Super Hybrid tech at Auto China 2026

At Auto China 2026, Chery has confirmed that it will showcase the evolution of its Chery Super Hybrid technology across five generations, as well as signal the next phase of its global growth with new models, advanced powertrain developments, and expanded European operations.

The brand will present its latest Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) system - the culmination of nearly three decades of in-house powertrain innovation. Also on show will be all generations of its CSH: From its early "heart-building" engine programme in the late 1990s through to today's fifth gen hybrid systems.

The fifth gen CSH system represents the latest step in Chery's consistent investment in core tech

Its latest CSH system sees the combination of a 1.5GDI hybrid engine and an advanced DHT transmission. Developed for full-scenario use, the system has been validated across extreme environments and European road conditions.

Beyond product and technology, the event will also serve as a platform to reinforce Chery's evolving global value proposition.

Looking forward, at the Chery International Business Summit, the brand will also unveil multiple new models and technologies designed to meet the needs of global families across a wide range of use cases, from urban commuting to long-distance travel.

And at both aforementioned events, Chery will also present its latest tech, product innovation, and global strategy in a single showcase moment. Alongside hybrid advancements and new model debuts, the brand will host a series of activities including safety challenges, long-distance testing experiences, and ecosystem displays.
