The new car is longer, and wider than the old car which helps to add a bit of boy-racer flare to the design.
On the inside, you get a motorcycle-style cockpit. Complete with a large, analogue tachometer that has an integrated digital speedometer. And, a colour coded wraparound fascia with ambient lighting, USB connections, and Bluetooth.
Underneath, there's a new chassis. Which they claim can both ride smoothly, and handle responsively.
It is a good thing, considering the broad range of available engines.
Depending on the market, Aveo's power can come from two versions of petrol 1.2 litre - A 1.4-litre that makes 100 hp or, a 115 hp 1.6-litre. There are also two versions of a 1.3 litre diesel, with a Start/Stop function.
Transmission choices include a 6-speed automatic or, a 5-or-6 speed manual.
The new Chevrolet Aveo will go on sale next summer. And, considering the General's new found obsession with build quality, the new Aveo should be able to hold its own in a crowded segment.
