Citroen adds C5 and DS5 to its local diesel range

Cycle & Carriage France Pte Ltd has added two new models to its diesel range in Singapore. Joining the C4 e-HDi and DS4 e-HDi models are the Citroen C5 e-HDi 115 EGS and Citroen DS5 e-HDi 115 ETG. All Citroen diesel models are mated to a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine and will fall into Category A COE come February 2014 with the new COE re-categorisation scheme.

The diesel range is part of Citroen's 'Airdream' eco-range, which was started in 2007 to focus on producing vehicles with low CO₂ emissions. All Citroen's diesel models are fitted with a 'Stop & Start' System and an e-HDi micro-hybrid technology that cuts carbon emissions by about 5g/km in homologation cycles and 15 percent in heavy city traffic.

Its latest additions, the C5 e-HDi and DS5 e-HDi, boast a low carbon emission of 120g/km and 112g/km, as well as a combined fuel consumption of 4.6L/100km and 4.3L/100km respectively. Both models qualify for a $15,000 CEVS rebate.
