Cupra has revealed its updated Born.
Key design change here is the fact that the car now also features the three-triangle LED head lights seen in the rest of the Cupra range.
This updated Cupra Born gets new taillights that carry the triangle motif so associated with the brand, as well as a redesigned rear bumper and diffuser
Look a little more closely and you'll also note that the car's front intake has been tweaked. Now featuring a parametric design, it is also flanked at either end by new air curtains that are highlighted in copper.
Walk over to the rear of the Cupra Born and you should notice that the car also now features taillights that are inspired by Cupra's three-triangle motif. The Cupra logo here is also now integrated into the taillight design and now features as an illuminated item. The rear bumper has also been redesigned to give the car a more planted stance.
Opt for the Born in its 'Plus' variant and your electric hatchback will come with a 58kWh battery and offer a total output of 140kW. A more powerful 170kW 'Endurance' variant is also offered, powered by a 79kWh battery.
But for those looking to maximise performance, the 'VZ' variant should appeal. This variant offers a total of 240kW with the same 79kWh battery. Delivering an impressive peak torque of 545Nm, this variant will crack the century sprint in just 5.6 seconds. The 'VZ' variant also comes with what Cupra is calling CUPBucket seats in its cabin and additional 'VZ' badging at its rear.
All variants of the Cupra Born will feature a 12.9-inch infotainment display framed by an illuminated sliding bar, while the car now gets a 10.25-inch driver's digital cockpit - an upgrade from the 5.3-inch item used by its predecessor.
The Cupra Born also now features a redesigned steering wheel (which looks to have ditched those haptic buttons), although as before, this wheel will come complete with satellite buttons (on Endurance and VZ variants) from which you can select your preferred driving mode.
Production of the Cupra Born is set to start in the second quarter of 2026 and the car is set to be launched throughout Europe through the middle of 2026.
