Cupra teases facelifted Cupra Born
27 Feb 2026|49 views
Have nearly five years really come and gone since we first set eyes on the Cupra Born?
First debuting back in 2021 as Cupra's first all-electric car, the Born marked an intriguing new chapter - one that translated the brand's rebellious and exciting image rather successfully into the electric sphere. Now, teaser images freshly released by Cupra suggest that the Born is set to get quite a significant update that should put it more in line aesthetically with the rest of its siblings.
It's worth remembering, first of all, that the Cupra also launched the Tavascan - its first electric SUV - in early 2023, which debuted quite an evolved design language from Cupras of time past. Since then, nearly every model has followed it in its footsteps, including the updated Leon, the updated Formentor, and even the first-ever Terramar.
The latest images suggest that the Born is set to walk down this path too, with Cupra stating that its exterior will embrace the brand's latest design DNA. That means matrix LED head lights with triple triangles for each of its daytime-running light clusters, as well as a full-length light bar at the rear in the vein of the Tavascan's. Notably, the latter will include an illuminated Cupra logo.
Not much else has been revealed about the Born otherwise, except that its cabin will deliver "a higher perceived quality". But the world won't have to wait too long to learn about its powertrain details or see its interior; Cupra has revealed that its world premiere will take place on 5 March 2026, at 5:00pm Singapore time.
