The 2025 Shanghai Auto Show has seen a plethora of new debuts and showcases by the various brands, and DENZA is no different, having unveiled its first-ever concept sports car, named the DENZA Z.
Embodying the brand's new "Pure Emotion" design philosophy, the concept car introduces DENZA's first fully self-developed steer-by-wire system, the DiSus-M Intelligent Magnetorheological Body Control System, a fully by-wire chassis, and is also the first sports car equipped with BYD's e3 Platform.
The DENZA Z sports a Quantum Pulse front face, a sculpted side body with Light Blade waistlines, and an aerodynamically optimised tail, all designed for peak track performance. Inside, cabin features include carbon-fibre bucket seats, a high-strength roll cage, and a structural carbon-fibre dashboard.
With no mechanical linkage, the DENZA Z's fully self-developed steer-by-wire system delivers millisecond-level response and millimetre-level steering precision. This also supports the self-developed foldable steering wheel, offering enhanced crash safety, expanded driver space, and customisable cabin layouts.
In addition, its full by-wire chassis integrates its powertrain, steering, braking, and suspension systems. DENZA claims to also be the only brand advancing both wet and dry brake-by-wire systems toward large-scale production.
DENZA isn't just stopping there, either. The 2025 Auto Shanghai also saw the international debut of the DENZA N9 premium SUV, which is also equipped with the e-Platform 3.0 Evo, as well as a 2.0T DM Super Hybrid System, DiSus-A (dual-chamber air suspension), and the "DiPilot-300" advanced driving-assistance system.
Other models in DENZA's lineup on show include the D9 MPV, Z9GT and Z9, and the refreshed 2025 DENZA N7.
