Motor East opens DENZA Caldecott showroom

DENZA, BYD's luxury sub-brand, has expanded its presence in Singapore following the opening of DENZA Caldecott, the third DENZA showroom here. Operated by Motor East, the facility is in Toa Payoh West and sits above the firm's BYD showroom on the ground floor.

Motor East, which is part of the Motorway Group, started business in 1996 as a pre-owned car dealer. Currently, its operations include car sharing, vehicle leasing, and other mobility services. Motor East was appointed as a BYD authorised agent in 2023.

DENZA Caldecott cost Motor East nearly $2 million to build and has a built-up area of about 45,000 square feet. The facility is the third DENZA showroom in Singapore, while its BYD showroom is the seventh here.

According to Motor East, DENZA Caldecott aims "to create a family-friendly environment that reflects how vehicles are used in everyday life". It says the space will also continue to evolve by hosting weekly activities for young visitors, with the goal of delivering a more engaging brand experience.

To support the latter initiative, there are also plans to host lifestyle collaborations and owner engagement activities. Motor East also aims to show new EV drivers how electric mobility can be both high-tech yet family friendly.

The DENZA's local lineup currently consists of the B5, an off-roader with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, and the D9, a seven-seater MPV. However, given the brand's continued growth, it won't be long before more models - such as the Z9 GT - arrive.

To celebrate the showroom's opening, Motor East is offering customers special perks on DENZA models worth up to $8,000. The B5 is being bundled with free paint protection film, while the D9 comes with complimentary DENZA TV, and paint protection film as well. These freebies are valid till 30 April 2026.

DENZA Caldecott is located at 5 Toa Payoh West, #02-00 Motorway Building, Singapore 318877. Operating hours are 9am to 6pm from Mondays to Saturdays, and 10am to 6pm on Sundays.
