With the preview of the ID. EVERY1 concept car, Volkswagen has shown its new entry-level, all-electric model, with the production version set to launch in 2027. Together with the ID. 2all, which will be launched in 2026, both models are part of the new Electric Urban Car Family based on Volkswagen's new modular electric drive platform: the MEB with FWD.
With the European launch of the all-electric Urban Car Family from 2026, Volkswagen will offer the most diverse portfolio in the high-volume segment, ranging from efficient combustion-engine models and advanced hybrids to future-oriented, all-electric vehicles.
According to Andreas Mindt, Volkswagen Head of Design, the ID. EVERY1 sports design elements such as the dynamic front lights and the 'smiling' rear, giving the vehicle character and identity that people can relate to.
In addition, thanks to the ID. EVERY1's electric FWD, the MEB platform offers optimal space utilisation and maximum efficiency. The concept vehicle reaches a top speed of 130km/h and is powered by a newly developed electric drive motor offering 70kW (94bhp). As well as offering a range of 250km and a length of 3,880mm (placing it between the up!, ID. 2all, and the current Polo), it offers space for four in its interior and a 305 litre luggage compartment.
The production version of the ID. EVERY1, set to release in 2027, is just one part of the brand's electric model campaign, which will take the next step with the "Future Volkswagen" agreement. To achieve this, the brand will pursue a three-phase plan: Advance (increase competitiveness and existing model range in a targeted manner), Attack (to have nine new models by 2027), and Achieve (to become the technologically leading, high-volume manufacturer with the safest, most innovative, and best-selling cars by 2030).
