First production 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV raises funds for charity at auction

GMC has announced that the first production unit of the 2024 GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 SUV has gone to the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction, raising a total of $656,700 for charity.
The full proceeds of the sale will go towards Tread Lightly!, a non-profit dedicated to promoting outdoor recreation through stewardship and educational programme, as Barrett-Jackson waived the fees and commissions typically associated with its collector vehicle auctions.
The finds raised from the auction will help promote outdoor ethics and a sense of good stewardship in nature The organisation seeks to balance the needs of those who enjoy outdoor recreation with the need to maintain healthy ecosystems and thriving populations of wildlife across the U.S.A.
