Focus claims 'Best in class' Euro NCAP award

Independent automobile safety assessor Euro NCAP has released class results for crash test safety, including level of passive safety technologies. The new Ford focus was crowned the safest car in the small family car category, one out of the five classes tested.

What is worth mentioning, though, is that the new focus sets the record for a mass market car to be awarded five-star Euro NCAP rating and four Euro NCAP Advanced rewards, which is unmatched by any other competitor in the market. The Advanced rewards marks the impressive array of safety technologies found onboard the focus, such as the Driver Alert which detects fatigue in the driver, and Forward Alert, which warns the driver of any inherent collision. Other technologies include Active City Stop and Lane Keeping Aids.
