Ford reveals first details of the all-electric E-Transit Custom van

Ford has revealed the first details of its new all-electric van, the E-Transit Custom.
The E-Transit Custom follows after the all-electric Ford E-Transit, and is the first of four further all-electric commercial vehicles which Ford will introduce by 2024. Production of the Ford E-Transit Custom will commence at the Ford Otosan plant in Turkey in the second half of 2023.
The Ford E-Transit will come with ProPower Onboard technology, allowing it to power tools and equipment when onsite No powertrain or specification details have been revealed as yet, although Ford does state that the E-Transit Custom is based upon an all-electric architecture which is targeted to offer a maximum range of up to 380km. The platform is said to also facilitate direct current fast-charging, and full towing capability, alongside the van's dynamic styling.
Ford further states that customers of the E-Transit Custom can also expect their vans to assist them in taking productivity to new levels, thanks to sophisticated connectivity that will enable always-on relationships.
The Ford E-Transit Custom will also offer ProPower Onboard technology, which will allow it to provide exportable power for tools, lights and devices when at a worksite.
