Ford is now taking the Bronco and Mustang name beyond the four-wheeled realm, with the unveiling of the new Bronco eBike and Mustang eBike.
Both are the products of a new collaboration between Ford and N+, the latter described by Ford as a leader of cycling technology. The two eBikes have been designed to bring the spirit and performance of the Bronco and Mustang into the eBike world.
The Bronco eBike takes its inspiration from the rugged performance and design of the Bronco SUV and features a powerful 750W hub-mounted motor that generates 85Nm of torque alongside a dual suspension system and a comfortable motorcycle-style seat, said to allow it to offer a riding experience that mirrors the adventurous spirit of the Bronco.
Those looking for a more feral ride, meanwhile can also get the Mustang eBike (which also is being offered as a limited edition 60th Anniversary Edition model), said to offer handling that mimics the iconic sports car. The Mustang eBike makes use of the same 750W hub-mounted motor that allows it to match the Bronco eBike's 96km range and 45km/h assisted top speed, but gets Pirelli Angel GT semi-slick tyres instead of the Pirelli Scorpion Enduro M tyres on the Bronco eBike.
