Giti Tire has launched its next gen GitiSportS2+ tyres, which achieved an "exemplary" rating in the new AutoBild 2026 Summer Tyre Test.
Tested on a BMW 5 Series in size 245/45R19, the GitiSportS2+ was initially joint fourth from a field of 50 tyres based on braking performance in wet conditions from 80km/h and dry conditions from 100km/h with a total distance of 42.5 metres.
In the final 20, it continued to perform at the highest level across 12 further independent tests to take its place among a top five otherwise dominated by premium manufacturers.
The GitiSportS2+ will initially be available in 19 sizes with rims from 17- to 20-inch section widths from 225-255 and series sizes from 35-55.
In line with all new Giti passenger car and SUV tyres, the GitiSportS2+ will carry the AdvanZtech EV Ready logo on its sidewall to signify their usage across internal combustion engine (ICE), mild and plug-in hybrid (MHEV and PHEV), and battery electric (BEV) vehicles.
The GitiSportS2+ was developed at the European R&D Centre in Hannover, Germany and tested and fine-tuned on European tracks in U.K. and Spain.
