In partnership with Volkswagen Group Singapore, Giti Tire welcomes renowned world-record driver Rainer Zietlow to Singapore on 8 October 2025 as part of his attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the most countries visited in an electric vehicle, namely the Volkswagen ID. Buzz.
Powered by its original GitiSynergy H2 tyres, the ID. Buzz has already covered more than 46,000km across 46 countries. Thus, Zietlow's visit celebrates a shared vision for sustainable, real-world electric mobility.
Designed to meet the specific demands of electric vehicles, the tyre combines low rolling resistance, advanced tread compounds, and reinforced construction to handle heavier battery loads while delivering superior energy efficiency without compromising safety or comfort.
The event at the Volkswagen Centre Singapore celebrated more than a milestone; it spotlighted collaboration. Guests experienced the synergy between cutting-edge electric mobility and advanced tyre engineering first-hand, while meeting Zietlow and learning about his ambitious 80,000km, 70+ country expedition.
Zietlow, who has relied on Giti tyres for this world record attempt, praised the tyres for its performance and durability, with Giti Tire adding on that this demonstrates how technology can drive both performance and progress.
