Giti Tire participated in the 2024 Singapore Road Safety Month Carnival 2024, an event dedicated to promoting road safety awareness among the public.
Held at Toa Payoh HDB Hub Atrium, the carnival was graced by Senior Minister of State, Dr. Amy Khor, and provided a platform for Giti to educate the public on road safety measures to reduce road accidents through imparting valuable knowledge on tyre care and safety checks.
The event also featured various activities and booths from the Singapore Police Force, Automobile Association of Singapore, Singapore Civil Defence Force, ComfortDelGro Driving Centre, and other organisations, all to raise public awareness and foster a strong road safety culture amongst all road users.
Giti participated in this event emphasising the importance of tyres in preventing road traffic accidents. Members of the public who visited Giti's booth got the chance to identify and avoid tyre damage that contributes to accidents. Giti's technical experts also conducted live demonstrations, educating attendees with demonstrations on how to check tyre tread depth and assess a tyre's overall condition.
Pamela Low, General Manager of Human Resources & Admin at Giti Tire shared, "Giti is honoured by this opportunity to sow back into the community as a Singaporean Global Tire Company, imparting best practices and partnering with everyone toward road safety, one tire at a time", while Deputy Head of Sales Support & Analysis, Ngow Kah Wai, emphasised that "Giti's interests lie not only in supporting the growth of the Singaporean economy, but also in the equipping people with the knowledge on how to save lives on the street through intentional educational engagements on road safety."
Giti states that the carnival was an excellent platform for instilling hands-on learning experiences on tyre care to the public, and participants were left with a better understanding of the importance of tyre maintenance to improving traction, handling, and fuel efficiency, contributing to overall road safety.
