The popularity of crossovers along with rising fuel costs has seen sales of the U.S.A's electric crossover market boom in recent times.
In a bid to capture market share and attracting more mainstream customers, GM has launched the electric version of its Chevrolet Blazer.
This Chevrolet Blazer EV will be available in 1LT, 2LT, RS and SS trims. The SS trim Blazer marks Chevrolet's first ever electric SS performance model.
A multitude of distinct trims will be available, with a range of up to 515km on a full charge.
Front, rear and all-wheel-drive variants will be offered on the Blazer.
The Blazer SS will feature a performance driven AWD propulsion configuration which produces up to 549bhp and 879Nm of torque. This will propel the Blazer SS from zero to 100km/h in under 3.8 seconds.
All Blazer EVs will get 11.5kW level 2 charging and standard DC public fast-charging capability at speeds of up to 190kW depending on the model.
At this charging speed, 126km of range can be attained from just 10 minutes of charge.
The spacious interior will include a 17.7-inch infotainment touchscreen along with soft-touch materials.
