Hear Hear: Parisian debut for the new Audi A3 Sportback

Audi showcased its all-new A3 three-door hatchback at the Geneva Motor Show back in March this year and it was only a matter of time before Audi extended the lineup of its premium compact model. Audi is reportedly bringing the five-door version of the series with the Sportback moniker to the upcoming 2012 Paris Motor Show in late September.
No official images have been released yet, but it is reported from earlier spy shots that the new iteration of the A3 Sportback will share a similar styling with the current model.
The engine lineup will be shared with the 2012 Audi A3 three-door hatchback comprising a variety of turbocharged gasoline and diesel engines including the 1.8-litre TFSI that produces 178bhp and the 2.0-litre TDI that produces 148bhp. Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive system and double clutch automatic transmission will also be on offer.
The A3 range will see at least one more addition, according to sources, likely to be the first-ever sedan of its range. However, it is unconfirmed at this point of time whether this said model will make it in time for the Paris Motor Show.
