Hyundai Motor Group (HMG) and Singapore's Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on future mobility and advanced technologies.
Through this partnership, HMG and HTX will debut the Kia PBV (Platform Beyond Vehicle) modular EV platform in their first technology demonstration project in Singapore, to boost the agility and operational readiness of Singapore's fleet of public safety vehicles.
HMG and HTX plan to conduct a demonstration project for a multi-purpose modular EV platform by the end of 2028, aimed at enhancing the operational efficiency of Singapore's public safety fleet, which includes vehicles such as police cars and rapid response vehicles.
To take its fleet management capabilities to the next level, HMG and HTX will partner on the Kia PBV platform, creating a unified operational platform built on modular vehicle architecture.
The project is expected to align with Singapore's broader electrification strategy in line with the Singapore Green Plan 2030, which includes Singapore's vision for all vehicles to run on cleaner energy by 2040.
Beyond mobility, this collaboration will also explore joint research and application of future technologies, including robotics and hydrogen energy.
