Hyundai launches Ioniq lineup and two concept cars in China

Hyundai has officially launched its all-electric Ioniq lineup in China and has also unveiled two design concept cars at the event.
The two, all-electric concept cars developed for China - the Venus Concept sedan and the Earth Concept SUV - both signal the beginning of this new chapter and highlight the brand's readiness for China’s new energy vehicle (NEV) market.
The Venus Concept sedan is finished in Radiant Gold, while the Earth Concept SUV is finished in Aurora Shield
As for the Ioniq lineup in China, it will evolve beyond a product lineup into a broader mobility ecosystem tailored to local customers. While maintaining Hyundai's globally proven standards in safety and quality, the Ioniq range is being redefined through localised technologies, services, and user experiences for China's fast-evolving NEV market.
And as part of this strategy, Hyundai is introducing a unique naming convention tailored for China - future Ioniq models will be named after planets, symbolising how each vehicle "orbits around the customer".
Further details about Hyundai's expansion in China will be unveiled at the brand's press conference at Auto China 2026.
