Hyundai has revealed more details of the new and boxy Santa Fe, after having first unveiled its exterior design in July 2023.
Those already wooed by the car's exterior will be most interested to note that it will be offered with a variety of drivetrains.
In South Korea and North America, the car will be offered with either a 277bhp 2.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired to an eight-speed dual clutch transmission, or a hybrid drivetrain that utilises a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol unit paired to a six-speed automatic that delivers a system total output of 178bhp.
European markets will also get this 1.6-litre hybrid drivetrain. A plug-in hybrid option will additionally be available, although Hyundai has yet to confirm the total system output for this drivetrain, save for the fact that the engine alone will produce 158bhp. The car will be sold in other markets with a 191bhp 2.5-litre engine paired to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
In the cabin, the Hyundai Santa Fe will get Hyundai's Panoramic Curved Display, which combines both the 12.3-inch digital cluster and 12.3-inch infotainment system. This will come further paired with a 6.6-inch full-touch climate control display for intuitive control over cabin heating or cooling.
Passengers can also expect increased space in the cabin, as petrol-only variants will see second-row leg room increased by 35mm over the previous model, while those that opt for the hybrid will see this figure increased by 20mm. Leg room for third-row passengers, meanwhile, has been increased by 15mm, while head room here has also been increased by 69mm.
Other features in the cabin of the Santa Fe include a high-speed, dual wireless charging system for smartphones, as well as a world's first Bilateral Multi-Console storage space, which Hyundai states can be opened by both front and rear passengers.
At the rear, the 1,275mm-wide tailgate of the Hyundai Santa Fe will open up to a 725-litre boot. Hyundai states that eco-friendly materials have been utilised throughout the cabin of the Santa Fe, including its headliner, mats, and seats.
