i5 Touring and fully electric M Performance model teased in model range of impending 5 Series

As anticipation grows for the eighth-generation BMW 5 Series, BMW has provided exciting new information about what customers can look forward to in the model.
The headline all along, of course, is that the model range is set to include a fully electric variant for the first time, named the i5. As per what we've already seen with the i4 and i7, BMW's flexible powertrain architecture means that it will be built atop of the same platform and look largely similar to the other variants in the lineup.
