Ineos Automotive has revealed the first details of its third off-road vehicle.
Following the Grenadier and Quartermaster, this new Ineos Fusilier will be available with either a battery-electric or a range extender drivetrain.
Ineos is also promising that the Fusilier will continue to deliver the world-class off-road capability that the Grenadier was designed for, alongside zero compromise to on-road performance. The Fusilier is also said to be shorter in length and height than the Grenadier, and comes built atop a bespoke skateboard platform with a steel top and underbody, although its doors and closures will be made from aluminium.
No official details have been revealed about either drivetrain as yet, although CEO of Ineos Sir Jim Ratcliffe does state that the range-extender Fusilier will utilise a small petrol engine, and has been designed to ensure that the vehicle continues to meet the broadest range of global consumer needs.
The firm additionally states that it will reveal details of its new powertrains come the third quarter of 2024.
Ineos has also confirmed that the Fusilier has been developed in partnership with industry-leading automotive supplier, Magna, which will also be manufacturing the vehicle at its facility in Graz, Austria. The Fusilier is additionally set to undertake its testing programme on Austria's Schockl mountain, close to Magna's vehicle assembly facility.
