Jackson Racing tunes Honda CRZ, gives it a power boost

California based Honda Supercharger experts, Jackson Racing have announced a new supercharger system for the Honda CR-Z starting from $3995. The power and torque delivery of the Jackson Racing CR-Z does not hinder the Honda IMA hybrid system for providing a smooth and sporty power delivery.
The supercharger adds 50bhp and 60Nm of torque, an increase of over 40% for bhp and 38% for torque delivery despite maintaining the fuel economy of the CR-Z Hybrid. The CR-Z supercharger system has undergone extensive durability testing like clocking track time by seasoned drivers. The Jackson Racing CR-Z also broke previous Hybrid records by almost 6 seconds during the Super Lap Battle 2011.
Interestingly the current kit is only available for the US model though Jackson Racing has promised the availability of the tuner kit for international customers in the future.
