We have revealed a speculative rendering on the upcoming highly anticipated Jaguar F-TYPE. Now Jaguar has announced a development prototype will make its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The all new F-TYPE will utilise Jaguar's knowledge on aluminium construction, and will launch as a two-seater convertible. The F-Type will be driven up the Goodwill hill by Mike Cross, Jaguar's Head of Vehicle Integrity.
The F-TYPE will be powered by either a supercharged V6 or V8, and will go on sale sometime in mid-2013. The F-TYPE is in development and is being tested at the most challenging of roads, at extremes temperatures and the harshest environments.
Adrian Hallmark, Global Brand Director of Jaguar Cars, commented, “Goodwood Festival of Speed is focused around the dynamic hill runs where the public can see, hear and smell the cars – this is why we have chosen it as the place to showcase an F-TYPE prototype. The development programme is progressing with vigour and we look forward to showing the world the F-TYPE in production form later this year.”
