Jeep has unveiled a new line of concept vehicles that will take centre stage at the 57th Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah, U.S.A.
Starting off the lineup is the Jeep Wrangler Magneto 3.0 Concept, which, as its name suggests, is the third iteration of the Jeep Wrangler Magneto.
The Jeep Wrangler Magneto 3.0 Concept sports a paint scheme that pays homage to its previous two iterations Originally revealed with a 281bhp axial flux electric motor paired to a six-speed manual transmission, this latest iteration of the Magneto now gets a more efficient motor that brings maximum output to a total of 641bhp.
Peak torque from the concept now stands at 1,220Nm, ensuring effortless off-road ability.
This new motor also now means the Jeep Magneto has a 20% increased range.
Further up the car is a new body, for the Jeep Wrangler Magneto 3.0 Concept. The door opening is now swept back a total of 152mm to make ingress and egress easier, while the B-pillar is now moved rearward by 60mm to make way for a custom anti-roll bar.
Total power output for this third iteration of the Jeep Magneto is now 641bhp thanks to a new electric motor The Jeep Magneto 3.0 Concept will feature at the Easter Jeep Safari with an updated paint scheme that pays homage to its previous two iterations.
Those that like their off-road thrills delivered via combustion power, however, will be more interested in the Jeep Scrambler 392 Concept.
Inspired by the Jeep's first convertible compact truck, the CJ-8, this Scrambler 392 puts a powerful twist to the open-top truck concept thanks to its 6.4-litre V8 Hemi engine which delivers a total of 464bhp alongside 637Nm of torque.
Based on the four-door Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, this Jeep Scrambler 392 Concept also gets a large portion of its bodywork made from carbon fibre to maximise the power available from its V8 engine. Just like the Magneto 3.0 Concept, the Scrambler 392 Concept sports a tinted clear insert on its bonnet, designed here to bring attention to its engine.
The windshield of the concept has also been pushed back an additional 12 degrees to give it a chopped hotrod-like look. It also sports the newly released AccuAir air suspension kit, developed for the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator, which allows its user to adjust the vehicle's ride height from within the cabin or via a Bluetooth wireless device.
The rims and tow hooks of the Scrambler 392 Concept are finished in Brass Monkey paint, available as standard on the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392.
Those looking for a relatively sheltered tailgate with a more retro touch, however, will inevitably be pulled towards the Jeep Cherokee 4xe Concept. This concept was inspired by a 1978 Jeep Cherokee which Jeep bought off Craigslist, and thus sports a bright, 1970s-themed multicolour paint scheme.
Under this body is the plug-in hybrid drivetrain of the Jeep Wrangler 4xe, which sends its power of 37-inch tyres wrapped around custom 17-inch 'slotted mag' style wheels. The concept also gets low-back bucket seats trimmed in leather, while its rear bench has been replaced with a four-point safety cage, and the rear cargo space now houses the space tyre.
Need to ferry four? Then the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe Concept could be the car to hanker over.
This concept seeks to flip the popular perception of the magenta colour, and make it a lot tougher than expected, following from the overwhelmingly positive reaction to the limited edition Tuscadero exterior paint color that debuted in 2021 for Jeep Wrangler models.
Aiding to contrast this pink-hued exterior on the concept are the use of gloss black accents, while the remaining blue touches hint at its electrified powertrain.
Off-road capability for this Wrangler Rubicon 4xe Concept is ensured, thanks to an AccuAir air suspension kit, alongside 37-inch tyres wrapped around 17-inch high-gloss black American Expedition Vehicles Borah wheels.
But what if you're expecting to stay outdoors overnight? Enter, this Grand Wagoneer Overland Concept.
Designed to take you into chartered territory in comfort, this Grand Wagoneer Overland Concept makes use of a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged engine to deliver a total of 503bhp and 678Nm of torque.
The carbon fibre roof tent of the Grand Wagoneer Overland Concept is said to take just 10 seconds to deploy Atop the car is a custom RedTail Overland Skyloft. Made from carbon fibre, the roof tent deploys in just 10 seconds, and comes with windows to allow users to soak in the panoramic views.
The second and third row seats of the Grand Wagoneer have also been removed in this concept car, and the rear-most sunroof repositioned to create a weatherproof pass-through entrance into the tent from its cabin.
Filing this cabin additionally are two oversized beanbags, as well as a push throw rug and pillows, as well as customer ambient lighting. In spite of this, the car still offers storage space for bikes, or any gear necessary for an outdoor adventure.
Jeep will further be presenting two concepts, built in collaboration with and using conceptual items from the Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) by Mopar design team.
First up is the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe Departure Concept, which is designed, as you might have guessed, to give you maximum departure angle.
This is achieved by utilising a convertible tube gate at the rear that allows its user to switch between front or rear-facing positions for the spare wheel and tyre.
When the spare tyre is flipped outward, the system acts as a bed extender to provide more cargo space. But when the gate is turned toward the cabin, the rear overhang is greatly improved for off-roading while the spare wheel and tyre are safely secured.
The front of the car, meanwhile, is also protected by a custom-designed tubular grille guard that folds down to create an innovative bumper bench, a perfect relaxation perch for two while out on the trails.
The convertible tube gate at the rear of the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe Departure Concept can be flipped into the boot for increased departure angle Aiding the strong rock crawling credentials of this off-roader are 17-inch Vintage Bronze KMC Impact OL wheels wrapped in 37-inch BFGoodrich tyres. These are held by a JPP 50mm lift kit and Bilstein performance shock absorbers.
The concept also gets custom flat fender flares designed specifically for larger wheel and tyre combinations and for additional clearance.
A Dark Harbor blue exterior finish, alongside stainless-steel JPP pedal covers and a JPP heavy-duty vinyl flooring system feature in this concept.
Finally, there's the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon Sideburn Concept, so named thanks to the JPP Gladiator Sport Bar that sits aft of the passenger cell. Made from lightweight carbon fibre and steel, this sport bar enhances the space between the cabin and the bed with a design that features bed steps on both sides for easy access from the side of the car.
The Jeep Gladiator Rubicon Sideburn Concept features a JPP Gladiator Sport Bar that features bed steps on both sides for easy access into the truck bed The sport bar also features a mid-shelf with tie downs for portable storage totes. Each tote can be locked and secured via eight available tie-down loops. Four T-track rails on the upper portion of the sport bar enable easy installation of bike, kayak or other roof-mounted cargo systems.
The bed of the concept, meanwhile, features integral Molle panels above and behind the wheel flares for additional storage. The integral RotoPaX containers at its sides, further, are designed for liquid storage during off-road adventures. Within the bed is a modified Mopar bed-mounted spare tyre carrier that holds a 37-inch wheel and tyre.
The front of the Gladiator Rubicon Sideburn Concept also features a custom-designed tubular grille guard that can fold down to offer seating for two. While on its roof are a pair of removable rectangular LED lights suspended by custom bracketry.
The Gladiator Rubicon Sideburn Concept is powered by a 3.6-litre V6 and comes with a JPP 50mm lift kit with Bilsteinperformance shock absorbers. At all four corners are black HRE 17-inch FT1 six-spoke wheels that wear 37-inch BF Goodrich tyres.
