Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and Tata Communications have announced that they will strengthen their partnership by supercharging JLR's next-generation vehicle connectivity with the Tata Communications MOVE platform, providing the former's next-generation software-defined vehicles with continuous connectivity and access to intelligent services even in the remotest locations across 120 countries.
Leveraging the MOVE platform, JLR's upcoming mid-sized SUVs, which will be built on the new Electric Modular Architecture (EMA), will seamlessly transition between mobile networks and operators, enabling continuous access to personalised connected services.
MOVE will also allow better secure data exchange between JLR and its customers' vehicles, delivering more efficient software over-the-air (SOTA) updates and enabling JLR engineers to monitor vehicle performance in real-time and providing more prompt updates over the air to improve vehicle maintenance and service.
The advanced vehicles are expected to hit the roads in 2026 and will deliver a smarter and more intelligent driving experience. MOVE will provide JLR customers with features such as being able to track their vehicles in the most demanding environment, as well as frequent vehicle SOTA updates for improved vehicle diagnostics.
