Kia releases official photos of the all new 2021 Sportage

Kia has revealed the first official images of the all new Kia Sportage, an SUV designed to inspire customers with its interior and exterior design. In September, Kia Europe will unveil a dedicated European version of the Sportage for the first time in the model's 28-year history.

The exterior of the car challenges design norms and moves the Sportage identity into the next generation while paying homage to the brand's rich heritage. Tense and crisp lines ripple along the bodywork, while at the same time, clean but muscular surfaces give the SUV a dynamic and assertive road presence. On the inside, high-tech features meld with minimalist elements to create a distinctly contemporary style.

Revealed earlier this year to great acclaim from the design community, Kia's new design philosophy, 'Opposites United', is at the core of the all new Sportage. The principles of 'Opposites United' will influence all future Kia designs, giving them the same design and technological DNA.

The front of the all new Sportage features a black grille graphic stretching across the width of the face. The elongated grille links Kia's modern signature Tiger Nose grille - the visual focal point of the car - to the futuristic boomerang-shaped daytime running lights.

The side profile of the new Kia Sportage stays true to its sports utility underpinnings, with taut lines cutting across clean body surfaces. At the rear, the muscular swooping fastback shape flows into the rear lamps, forming the outline of the rear lamp and the main section of the tailgate.

Inside, an integrated curved display with a touchscreen pad and finely detailed air vents forms the nucleus of the Sportage's cabin. The arresting curved display sweeps across the front panel, giving the cockpit enhanced width and depth. Unique three-dimensional air vents also flow around the integrated curved display, reinforcing the Sportage's contemporary design elements.

The touchscreen pad and the advanced integrated controller act as the nerve centre for driver and passenger connectivity. Both systems have been engineered to be intuitive to operate.

The all new Sportage is the result of a collaborative effort between Kia's main global design network in Korea, Germany, the U.S.A, and China.
