Lamborghini has unveiled the new Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce Roadster during the famous 'The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering' event at Monterey Car Week in California. The Roadster will be available in a limited series of 500 units worldwide, as is the first series-produced, open-top Lamborghini to bear the Superveloce name.
Part of the storied Superveloce family, the Roadster offers greater performance, its naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 producing 750bhp (up 50bhp). The car also boasts a dry weight of 1,575kg, 50kg lighter than the Aventador LP700-4 Roadster. Acceleration from 0-100km/h takes a mere 2.9 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 350km/h.
The Roadster maintains the coupe's breathtaking acceleration, sheer power and handling prowess. The SV Roadster also features a power rear window that allows the free-flowing engine sound to fill the cabin, enhancing the spirited driving experience.
As with the Aventador LP700-4 Roadster, the SV Roadster comes with a two-piece hard-top made from carbon fibre featuring technologies such as RTM and Forged Composite. The two roof parts weight less than 6kg and can be easily stowed in the luggage compartment.
Delivery of the Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce Roadster begin in early 2016.
