Lamborghini catches fire after crashing into lamp post

Adding to the series of Italian exotics going up in flames - an orange Lamborghini sports car was too hot to handle after crashing into a lamp post outside an Etonhouse pre-school in Outram Road yesterday.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) reported to The Straits Times, it had received a call for assistance at 2:10pm, with reports of a Lamborghini accident and once again at 3:40pm - with reports of the same car on fire. Eventually the fire was extinguished by officers of the force after two fire engines was sent to the scene in just 10 minutes.

The unidentified driver refused to be conveyed to hospital, though an ambulance was dispatched to the accident scene.
