Premiered just a year ago, the Lamborghini Temerario is the successor to the beloved Huracan. The new Lamborghini lost two cylinders, but also benefits from the newfound power from three electric motors to achieve incredible performance.
And now, with the unveiling of the Temerario at its launch event in Seletar Aerospace, the new hybrid V8 turbo Lamborghini has officially arrived on our shores, here in Singapore.
The Temerario's twin-turbo V8 engine is entirely new and designed specifically for the car - there is no relation to any other V8s within the larger Volkswagen Group. Designated the L411, it is one of the most powerful engines in its segment. A flat-plane crankshaft, titanium conrods and robust finger followers allow the engine to rev up to 10,000rpm while producing a unique and engaging sound.
This special twin-turbo V8 engine is able to rev up to 10,000rpm, and put out 789bhp; it is also assisted by a total of three motors in the Temerario
The intricately engineered V8 is assisted by three electric motors, one of which is integrated to the engine, while the remaining two can be found on the front axle. The assortment of mechanical wizardry has culminated in a smooth revving package that puts out a total of 908bhp and 730Nm (the V8 engine puts out 789bhp).
On the outside, the Temerario marks a fresh chapter in Lamborghini's design DNA with a new styling and an iconic identity. From the first glance, the Temerario reveals Lamborghini's DNA with its typical Lamborghini silhouette, featuring clear lines, short and compact overhangs, integrated aerodynamics and a bold shark nose.

The front-end features a pair of new hexagonal Daytime Running Lights, which incorporate an air tunnel, along with air channels positioned below the sharp headlights to improve aerodynamic performance and cooling of the brakes.
With a broad shoulder, the side stretches from the front over the door, leading to a wide rear end featuring a fixed rear spoiler. A wide diffuser extends under the Temerario with integrated hexagonal tailpipes, flanked by hexagonal taillights.
Inside, the Temerario's slim and lightweight dashboard, along with a low seat position, creates the brand's typical fun-to-drive character. Mirroring the sharp, athletic exterior of the car, the interior manages a balance between digital and physical experiences using carbon, leather and suede throughout the cabin, along with digital screens.

The newly-developed steering wheel with optional carbon elements takes inspiration from the racing world, and allows the driver to control the main driving functions, including 13 driving modes.
Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman, CEO Lamborghini was present for the launch of the Huracan successor, and selected media outlets had the opportunity to ask him a few questions about the brand and its upcoming plans.
The CEO of Lamborghini has assured that the brand will continue to produce super sports cars that are powered by internal combustion engines for as long as possible
The CEO of Lamborghini reiterated that the brand will continue to produce super sports cars with hybrid powertrains, featuring soul-stirring engine for as long as possible - there are no current plans for full-electric super sports cars. He also quashed the rumours of the next SUV being full-electric, mentioning that the follow-up to the Urus would remain a plug-in hybrid.
However, he mentioned that the decision to opt for a hybrid powertrain or a full-electric powertrain for the upcoming grand tourer is still up in the air. With this, we have been assured that the brand will still continue to produce visceral supercars equipped with internal-combustion engines for the foreseeable future.
The Lamborghini Temerario is officially launched at a base price of $1,528,000 excluding COE and all options.
