Lamborghini presents the Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante

The Spyder Performante is essentially a soft-top version of the Gallardo Superleggera, and comes with new design features such as a new front fascia, aggressive side skirts, a fully-covered under-body, a redesigned rear diffuser and 19-inch lightweight wheels with titanium bolts, wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.
Inside, the Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante comes with Alcantara sport seats and carbon fibre trim. Those are the only luxury items, as Lamborghini has given the car a weight-saving exercise which sheds 65kg from the standard Gallardo Spyder. This is achieved by making the spaceframe from aluminium, and carbon fibre for parts such as the soft-top cover, the rear spoiler, diffuser and wing mirror casings, as well as the centre tunnel cover, door panels and sport seats' shell. This results in a total weight of 1485kg for the Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante.
Under the bonnet, the Spyder Performante is powered by the same 5.2-litre V10 engine that is in the Gallardo Superleggera, and produces 570bhp and 540Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via an automated e-gear six-speed transmission with launch control, and a manual gearbox is available as an option.
This sends the Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante from 0-100km/h in 3.9 seconds, half a second slower than the Superleggera, and allows the car to reach a top speed of 324km/h. The car's brake discs measure in at 365mm in front, and 356mm at the rear, which go up to 380mm for the front if the optional carbon-ceramic brakes are ordered. Lamborghini has also given the Spyder Performante a set of high-tech aluminium double wishbone suspension set up for better stability.
