Lancia Gamma to be produced in electric and hybrid versions
27 Dec 2024|54 views
Stellantis has announced that it will be keeping its promise in producing the new Lancia Gamma at its Melfi plant starting in 2026. The plant was chosen for its superior production quality and its strategic role in the transition towards electric mobility.
Designed and developed in Italy, the new Lancia Gamma model will be built on the new STLA Medium multi-energy platform, allowing for the integration of hybrid and electric engines, with the decision to equip the car with an electric powertrain being a direct response to current market dynamics.
Having opened its doors in 1994, the Melfi plant is a symbol of Italian craftmanship and with its highly automated production processes and strong focus on sustainability, will continue to play a pivotal role in Stellantis' electrification strategy.
