Lexus enters athlete partnership with Endo and Igarashi

In June 2025, Lexus announced that it had signed sponsorship agreements with Wataru Endo, a professional footballer, and Kanoa Igarashi, a professional surfer.

Endo, who currently plies his trade with defending champions Liverpool Football Club of the English Premier League, also serves as captain of the Samurai Blue, which is the moniker given to the Japanese national football team.

Meanwhile, Igarashi made history in 2016 as the youngest-ever competitor and first Asian athlete of the WSL Championship Tour. He also earned a silver medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Endo said that he takes great pride in driving a Lexus in the U.K. and thanked Lexus for its support, while Igarashi believes that like the brand, he will strive to keep pushing forward and aiming for the very top. Moving forward, Lexus will continue to support both athletes through a wide range of initiatives.
