Lexus IS F updated
12 Aug 2011|3,095 views
The IS F had only recently been given a minor facelift, with its new 5.0-litre V8 that meets Euro 5 emissions standards, as well as minor styling enhancements like the LED front lights and a new instrument panel design, but Lexus has decided to revise its performance sedan even further for 2012.The biggest change according to Lexus is the retuned chassis, which the Japanese carmaker says offers a better overall driving experience and improved comfort thanks to the new shock absorbers, larger stabilizer bars and revised suspension geometry. Under the bonnet however, the IS F remains unchanged, with its 5.0-litre V8 engine producing 423bhp, which allows the car to rocket from 0-100km/h in 4.7 seconds, and reach its electronically-limited top speed of 270km/h.
There are also two other new features that are available as an option for the updated IS F. They include a set of 19-inch alloy wheels in a 14-spoke design from BBS, and a two-tone, black and crimson leather trim for the interior.
