It was easy to see that Lexus was in serious contemplation for a production version of the LF-LC concept, after a warm reception at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this January. If you need further proof, Lexus is now announcing a debut for a 2nd version of the hybrid sports coupe to be premiered at the Australian International Motor Show that takes place in Sydney from October 19 to 28."The Lexus concept is an absolutely stunning vehicle and is set to be one of the drawcards of the show," commented Lexus Australia Chief Executive Tony Cramb. "The concept will highlight Lexus' design and engineering expertise - marrying design with function to deliver a glimpse into the future of supercars," he added.
To start the ball rolling, Lexus have released a teaser image, showing a slightly different styling and colors for the taillight and the surrounding areas compared to the concept model unveiled at Detroit.
Lexus has also released the first details about the car's powertrain. The Japanese carmaker said that the concept will be equipped with a hybrid powerplant capable of delivering 496bhp and will come with an all-wheel drive system. More details are expected to be released as the Sydney show approaches, so stay tuned.
