Limited edition S60 to see out production run

Volvo is set to mark the end of the current S60 production run by releasing a new limited edition model that is packed with equipment, in a bid to clear out remaining stock.

Just 880 of the new Volvo S60 SE model will be produced and bound for the US market only, and will be available in both FWD and 4WD. Both will carry a 2.5 litre turbocharged inline five-cylinder engine producing 208bhp and 320Nm of torque, which will be mated to a five-speed automatic transmission with Volvo's Geartronic manual override function.

Other features to be included in the run out model are leather seats, electronic climate control, moon-roof, sporty 17-inch aluminium wheels, heated seats, rain sensing windshield wipers and headlamp washers.

Volvo managed to produce nearly 580,000 Volvo S60s during its nine year production run from its factory in Ghent, Belgium, becoming one of its top selling models. The new model is expected to arrive early next year.
