Lotus owners in Europe can look forward to an easier vehicle charging experience.
The firm has announced new partnerships with charging solution providers Bosch and Mobilize Power Solutions to support the growing number of customers taking delivery of its electric vehicles.
Owners of the Eletre will soon be able to tap into either firm's charging capabilities, allowing them to charge their performance SUV at home or on the move. The partnership will also support owners of the upcoming hyper GT, the Emeya, which Lotus expects to deliver to customers in Europe before the end of 2024.
Lotus owners will have access to Bosch's charging network, which comprises of more than 600,000 public charging stations across 30 European countries including the U.K., Germany and France. Lotus states that it also plans to expand this charging network across Europe by adding additional network operators over time.
Drivers will be able to access this network with a simple tap of the Lotus Charging Card, and can find all the information they need easily via the Lotus Cars smartphone app. The app also allows drivers to keep track of their charging history, manage costs and monitor vehicle battery status remotely.
Lotus collaboration with Mobilize Power Solutions, meanwhile, will unlock the home as the primary charging location by offering an all-inclusive package which includes the supply and installation of a charging point. This charger will comes with a tethered cable as standard and can utilise energy generated by a domestic solar array.
Lotus has previously announced the launch of its own electric vehicle charging solutions, which include an ultra-fast 450kW DC charger, a power cabinet, and a modular unit that allows for the charging up to four vehicles at once.
