Tennis superstar Maria Sharapova, who is in town for the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore, made a guest appearance at Stuttgart Auto last night for The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund event. The local authorised distributor for Porsche cars played host to the charity event, which gathered a total of $50,000 in donations.

A number of items also went for bidding at the event, including one of Sharapova's personal tennis racket, an autographed giant tennis ball and a handbag from Porsche Design to help raise fund for charity.
The tennis star shared that this is the first time the WTA finals is held in Singapore and she is glad and honoured to be given the opportunity to "team up with Porsche for a good cause".
The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (SPMF) is a community project to support children from low income families through school. Since the project started in 2000, SPMF has helped over 130,000 cases of children and youth from low income families, between the ages of seven and 21 years.
