Maserati GranCabrio Sport to debut at Geneva

The biggest change in the GranCabrio Sport is the 4.7-litre alloy naturally-aspirated V8 engine, which has now been tuned to produce 444bhp and 510Nm of torque, up from 434bhp and 490Nm on the standard GranCabrio. Top speed of the GranCabrio Sport is quoted at 285km/h, while Maserati claims that its new "Maserati's Friction Reduction Program" helps improve fuel consumption by 6%.

The GranCabrio Sport uses the same ZF six-speed automatic gearbox with MC Auto Shift as the Quattroporte Sport GTS, and the car's Skyhook active suspension system has also been tuned, and the dual-cast brake discs are now grooved and drilled.

Cosmetically, the Maserati GranCabrio Sport features a new black grille, front corner splitters, side skirts and a Maserati Trident logo with red accents. The smoked headlights also feature new white highlights, and Maserati is offering a new colour for the GranCabrio Sport, called Rosso Trionfale, or Triumphant Red.
