Maserati has revealed the first pictures of an early prototype of the new MC20 convertible leaving the gates of the historic Modena plant.
Sporting a cloud-based camouflage fitting for a convertible, this Maserati MC20 will sport a body made from carbon fibre and composite materials just like the coupe.
The MC20 coupe utilises a Maserati-developed Nettuno twin-turbocharged V6 engine, which produces 621bhp and a peak torque of 730Nm. The engine utilises numerous innovations borrowed from Formula One, including the use of a combustion pre-chamber and laterally-mounted sparkplugs. A twin injection system (both direct and indirect) also aids in lowering emissions and improving fuel economy.
